The Copyright Hub at Vault Festival 2016

We are excited to announce that next month the Copyright Hub and Digital Catapult will be taking part in the VAULT festival, working with Hiive who are rolling out an exciting programme of free events called ‘Hiive Open Doors’.

To celebrate this we are hosting a competition on Hiive. The winner will receive a cash prize of £2000 while the runners up will get a year’s free access to the Digital Catapult contributor programme.

On March 6 at 2:15pm The Copyright Hub will hold an interactive session where we will announce the winning entry and use it to demonstrate how The Copyright Hub’s technology connects content to its creator, who can set options for how others may use their work.

The theme of our competition is ‘Labyrinths’ and we have given entrants the freedom to interpret this theme as they wish. Our generous partners have provided a pool of content that can be adapted, reimagined, or reused in any way entrant’s desire: whether its mazes, Minotaurs, puzzles or other interpretations. We are very lucky to be working with Getty Images, who have very kindly given our competition entrants the right to use and adapt their Rights Free video and photo content. Entrants may submit as a group or an individual.

Time is tight and we are accepting competition entries until Thursday 3rd March 17:30, to find out more about the competition click here. Interested in our interactive session and eager to learn more about the Hub? Sign up to our swarm here. The judges will be announced very soon.

This will be The Copyright Hub’s first time at such a large festival and we expect this be an exciting opportunity to meet new people who will be the Hub users of the future. For anyone planning on attending – we really look forward to meeting you and giving you the opportunity to find out more about how you can become a pioneer of the third age of the internet! You can also learn more about us on copyrightdoneright.org.
